Figure 1.

Figure 1 shows the location of the island of Puerto Rico, the smallest of the Greater Antilles. The figure, which is a depth/elevation contour plot, actually shows the outer (lowest spatial resolution) computational grid used in the numerical simulations performed to prepare the tsunami coastal flood maps.  The rectangles outlined by the red circles show the other two nested computational grids used in the simulations. More about this below.

Figure 2 shows the political boundaries within the island of Puerto Rico delimiting the municipalities into which the island is divided. This project will impact all the low lying coastal areas and communities of Puerto Rico located in the municipalities of Aguadilla (1), Isabela (2), Quebradillas (3), Camuy (4), Hatillo (5), Arecibo (6), Barceloneta (7), Manati (8), Vega Baja (9), Vega Alta (10), Dorado (11), Toa Baja(12), Cataño (13), Guaynabo (14), San Juan (15), Carolina (16), Loiza (17), Rio Grande(18), Luquillo (19), Fajardo (20), Ceiba (21), Naguabo (22), Humacao (23), Yabucoa (24), Maunabo (25), Patillas (26), Arroyo (27), Guayama (28), Salinas (29), Santa Isabel (30), Juan Diaz (31), Ponce (32), Peñuelas (33), Guayanilla (34), Yauco (35), Guanica (36), Lajas (37), Cabo Rojo (38), Mayagüez (39), Añasco (40),  Rincón (41), Aguada (42), Vieques (43) and Culebra (44)
